Acting chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Deep Basnyat has said the decision of Parliament is “acceptable to all” in the impeachment motion against suspended CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki.

Instructing staffers at the anti-graft body on Sunday, Basnyat asked them to work in a way that elevates the image of the watchdog. Amid reports of the commission under Karki harassing the accused, Basnyat asked officials to treat someone who faces investigation with respect while taking their case seriously, the CIAA said in a statement.
