Speaker Onasari Gharti on Tuesday adjourned the House by two weeks until November 10. The Speaker decided to adjourn the House just as it took up the impeachment motion against Lokman Singh Karki for theoretical discussion.

The adjournment, it is believed, is meant at allowing the Nepali Congress (NC), the largest party in Parliament, more time to discuss the impeachment motion about which the party is yet to take a decision. The NC has called its Parliamentary Party meeting to discuss the matter and make a position on it. Following the House adjournment for two weeks, it is unlikely that the impeachment process will be completed in two months. (PR)
