Api gets nod to set up 8 solar plants

NEA on Sunday awarded license to the company after it won the tender to develop solar plants at eight different locations, according to API’s statement.
The solar plants will be set up at Dhalkebar (1 MW), Dhuabi (1.5 MW), Parwanipur (8 MW), Simara (1 MW), Chandranighapur (4 MW), Bardaghat (1 MW), Chanauta (1.5 MW) and Kawasoti (1.5 MW). “The company plans to complete the construction of the plants and connect the electricity generated to the national grid within a year,” the statement added.
The government, in its bid to reduce energy crisis, had asked NEA to install
solar plants at 22 different locations with a combined capacity of 64 MW. And,
Api got the licence under the same scheme.
