Police in Lalitpur has confiscated a cache of firecrackers worth Rs300,000. Three people were arrested with 16 cartons of firecrackers from Sanepa-Teku area on Monday. With the Tihar festival at the doorstep, firecrackers are being smuggled into the Capital. Lalitpur police has mobilised dozens of police personnel in plain-clothes to curb the illegal sell of firecrackers. (PR)
