Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that although it is an unfortunate phenomenon that chief of anti corruption body—Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority—Lokman Singh Karki, has to face the impeachment motion in Parliament, its outcome will be positive.

Talking to representatives of United Student Organisation, who reached Singha Durbar on Friday to put pressure on government to move ahead the impeachment motion without any delay, the PM said the impeachment of suspended CIAA Chief Karki was heading towards yielding a positive outcome.

"Discussions have been held with Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Madhesi Morcha to conclude the impeachment motion with consensus between these parties," Surendra Basnet, a member of the student union, quoted PM Dahal as telling.

Eleven student unions affiliated to different political parties have joined hands to press for immediate impeachment of Karki.
