Indefinite banda affects normal life
Normal life was affected in various parts of the country on Friday due to banda called against the constitution amendment bill that proposes to separate Tarai and hill districts in province number 5.Normal life in various parts of the country has been affected on Friday due to indefinite strike called against the constitution amendment bill proposal separating Tarai and hill districts in Province no 5.
Palpa has been shut down for second consecutive day as markets, shops, schools remained closed and transportation services were halted. While Rupandehi , Gulmi, Arghakhachi, Pyuthan among other districts have been seeing protests. Demonstrators have hit the streets in Butwal to protest.
Active Industry Businessmen Network and Butwal Chambers of Commerce and Industry, under the leadership of Rupandehi Industry Association organised separate agitation rally.
Normal life was affected in Butwal and other parts of Rupandehi. There has been no vehicular movement along the East-West Highway, Siddhartha Highway and inner routes of major highways.
