Girl gang-raped in Gulariya
GULARIYA: A 19-year-old girl was gang-raped by three men in Gulariya, the district headquarters of Bardiya on Friday morning. Inspector Chakra Bahadur Dambarpal said three men had taken the victim to a field near Kotahi Temple and gang-raped her. A 19-year-old boy from Gulariya-7 has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the crime. They girl, who aspires to join the Nepal Army, was doing her regular morning exercise at around 6am for a test scheduled for Saturday, said police. Search of two other absconding persons is underway, said police. (PR)
Fire victims get relief fund
BHOJPUR: The District Natural Disaster Rescue Committee has distributed Rs 1.3 million to the victims of Bhojpur Bazaar fire. The relief fund was also provided to the families who had been living on rent in the homes that got destroyed in the November 20 fire. (PR)
