In a meeting with the party cadres at Birendranagar, Surkhet on Friday, PM Dahal, who is also the chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre), said the elections would open door for constitution implementation that would finally institutionalise the achievements of the people's war, people's movement, among other struggles, in the country.
"There is a big conspiracy behind the protests that are being organised against constitution amendment proposal that aims to restructure provincial boundaries," said the PM, "Questions have aroused whether these protests are motivated by the interest to revoke federalism, republicanism, secularism, inclusion, among other achievements, obtained under the initiatives of Maoists."
He went on to say that the ongoing protests are carried out by those factions who have discontent with federalism, and republic setup in the country and provision for proportional representation.
"There is a high possibility that Maoist party will become the most popular for all the achievements obtained so far were based on the foundation of Maoist-led people's war," said Dahal, adding, "There is no reason to become pessimistic; I request our comrades to prepare for the elections with sheer enthusiasm and energy."
