Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has suggested political parties that they accelerated the preparations for elections so that constitution could be implemented effectively. He further said holding elections in time would help avoid constitutional crisis.

Vice-President Pun was saying this while inaugurating the national civil conference and the 22nd annual general meeting of the NGO Federations Nepal in Chitwan on Tuesday. It was worrying that the political parties were witnessing differences on constitution enforcement at a time when they actually had to engage fully for election preparations.

The political parties were further suggested to narrow the difference by forging consensus with continuous dialogue and discussion. Only unity among parties could forward activities of the national agenda, he added.

Similarly, Vice-President Pun said time has come for strengthening national integrity and national unity. He argued that national unity could not be strong if any community was left unattended and discriminated. RSS
