The Borneo Bulletin, an independent newspaper based in Brunei Darussalam, has joined Asia News Network (ANN) bringing the pan-Asian membership to 22 countries.
“Borneo Bulletin is honored and delighted to join ANN as a member. We hope to play a meaningful role in ANN, particularly in providing news coverage in Brunei Darussalam,” said the newspaper editor Seman Endaw.
"We look forward to the exchange of news and photos with other media organisations in the ANN family,” Endaw added.
ANN executive board member and Editor-in-Chief of Sin Chew Daily of Malaysia, Ah Lek Pook, welcomed the Borneo Bulletin on board saying that ANN without a member from Brunei would not be complete as it is the only Islamic nation in South East Asia.
The newspaper, first published in 1953, also has full presence on digital sphere.
ANN now also has 10 media members in all 10 Asean countries with the Borneo Bullentin’s ANN membership, said Pana Janviroj, executive director of the network.
