The data collection began here with the government launching its programme to gather details of the 17 less-affected districts.
The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Central Bureau of Statistics, Central Level Project Implementation Unit and Earthquake Housing Reconstruction Project are jointly working to collect details about the disaster survivors and physical losses caused by the quake.
The data collection is aimed at identifying the real victims and addressing their problems accordingly, it is said. The documents related to data collection carried out immediately after the quake by the police, administration and local bodies were found to be different.
An open camp has been set up to carry out the data collection works.
According to office Chief Officer Shiva Shrestha, 29 engineers have been deputed throughout the district for this purpose. The office has a time of three months to complete the task and submit the final report to the NRA.
The primary estimate shows that some 11,810 households were affected by the quake. RSS
