To make sure that the projects are completed in time, the DRO is making the contractors to sign a pledge.
According to the DRO, works at the bridge construction sites in Khairenighat, Chaurikhola, Sirise and Khaharekhola areas are not moving according to the schedule due to negligence on the part of the contractors.
DRO chief Rakesh Maharjan said the bridge projects were approved between six to eight years ago to link Ramechhap with Sindhuli, Kavre and Okhaldhunga districts.
The projects have made very little progress since their inception.
Maharjan said the DRO will annul the contracts and find other firms to complete the projects if the current contractors do not show progress in a month.
