Confections made out of molasses is on high demand with the arrival of Maghe Sakranti festival.
The festival is observed on the first day of Nepali month of Magh and marks the end of winter season.
During the festival, friends and families feast on ghee, chaku (Molasses), yam, sel roti (Nepali traditional homemade, sweet, ring-shaped rice bread/doughnut), sweet potato, sesame ladoos, among other, delicacies.
