PM Dahal urges int’l community to invest in Nepal’s hydropower, assures cent percent profit

The PM said so while addressing the World Future Energy Summit in UAE on Monday.
“The next 10 years has been taken as an energy-development decade,” said the PM, adding that Nepal aims to produce 10,000MW electricity by 2025. “Nepal welcomes foreign investment in energy sector in Nepal,” he said.
PM Dahal said that the government has introduced policies to secure the money of foreign investors. PM Dahal, who was invited by UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a keynote speaker in the Summit said, “Our labour policies are market oriented and wage rate is cheap. There is concession in tax. There is a guarantee for Cent percent profit.”
He further said the government is committed in creating industry-friendly environment and will provide service to investors through one door policy for their ease.
“Nepal has abundant scope in hydropower and solar energy. Our market is South Asia,” said PM Dahal.
He also invited the international community to participate in an energy conference being held in Nepal from March 2-3.
