A nine-month-old Rhino calf was killed by a tiger in Bardiya Babai Valley.
The male rhino calf, which was spotted with its mother until Saturday, was found dead on the bank of Babai River at around 3:40pm on Sunday, Acting Chief of Bardiya National Park Ramesh Kumar Thapa told the national park department on Monday.
The male calf was born on June 1 last year to a rhino that had been translocated to Bardiya from Chitwan in last February-March.
This is the second rhino calf killed in tiger attack in four months.
In October last year, a five-month-old rhino calf rescued with injuries from Meghauli area of Chitwan had died.
