PM Dahal urges UN to support Nepal’s reconstruction

In a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator Valerie Julliand at his office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu on Thursday, PM Dahal thanked the UN for its support to Nepal and requested to continue the support.
According to PM’s secretariat, Dahal said to Julliand that Nepal’s peace process is original and heading towards success and the government is ready to adopt international laws and norms regarding the issue of transitional justice.
Likewise, PM Dahal also expressed his appreciation for the role played by UN in Nepal’s peace process since the beginning of peace process.
At the meeting, Julliand noted that the reconstruction works have gained momentum after the formation of new government and said the UN is ready to extend financial support for Nepal’s rebuilding. She also proposed holding a mini-conference of donor agencies willing to support Nepal.
