An aftershock of local magnitude 4 was recorded at 6 am on Saturday, with its epicentre in Benighat of Dhading district.
According to Lok Bijay Adhikari, Chief at the National Seismological Centre, it was the first significant aftershock that the NSC recorded after 14 days.
Adhikari said that as many as 477 aftershocks measuring 4 or above in Richter scale have so far occurred following the devastating Gorkha earthquake that rocked the nation on April 25, 2015.
