Nepal Police constable Somraj Majhi, who was critically injured in the gas cylinder explosion in Sunsari on Friday morning, breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar.

At least eight persons were injured when a gas cylinder used in filling balloons exploded all of a sudden in the premises of Shiva Temple at Simariya of Sunsari on Friday.
Nepal Police constable Somraj Majhi, 30, of Katari, Morang and Tara Mandal, 32, of Gachhiya Morang while the identity of the third one, a male, is yet to be ascertained, police informed.
According to the District Police Office (DPO), Sunsari, all the injured are receiving treatment at the Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College.
Police said that they have arrested Bhagwan Saha and Radheshyam Saha of Bhaluwa Municipality -6 involved in selling gas-filled balloons, according to SP Poshraj Pokhrel of the DPO. RSS
