CPN-UML Standing Committee member Subas Chandra Nembang has claimed that the constitution amendment bill registered at the Legislature-Parliament won’t be endorsed under any circumstances.
Addressing an assembly at Dandabazaar of Dhankuta district on Monday, the UML deputy Parliamentary Party leader asserted the amendment won't be successful as the number of parliamentarians supporting the amendment is declining everyday while Rastriya Prajatantra Party has also said that it would vote against the amendment.
Saying the three-tier elections in the country would be completed by January-February of 2018, the leader accused the ruling parties and other fringe parties of fearing the rising popularity of UML across the nation and are thus hatching conspiracy to foil the elections.
He opined the constitution framed by the people of this country should be implemented at the earliest. He also said it was irrelevant to protest the constitution as the Madhes-based political parties, who are dissatisfied with the constitution, are the coalition partner of incumbent government.
In a different context, the UML leader also said the student wings of various parties have been posing obstruction in the conduction of Free Student Union election by fearing the mass public support of UML-affiliated ANNFSU.
