Naya Shakti Party Nepal Coordinator Baburam Bhattarai has declared that holding of any sorts of election before the constitution amendment is not possible.

Talking to media persons briefly at Salle Airport, Rukum before returning to Capital on Monday, leader Bhattarai accused the government of announcing the date for local poll just for lengthening its tenure. He was here in connection to a cadre training programme of his party.

He expressed views that the voice of Madhes should be addressed first through constitution amendment so as to create a suitable atmosphere for conducting the three-tier election.

"The form of governance the country is adopting is not right," he claimed, underling the need for an election for a directly-elected executive presidential system through the constitution amendment.

Responding to journalists' queries about the progress in the unity plan between the Naya Shakti Party and Federal Socialist Forum, he said in-depth discussions on the issue were on and the both sides would reach to a conclusion soon. RSS
