The deceased has been identified as Birendra Kumar Mahato, 38, of Maleth-2 in Saptari district. Mahato was shot on his head and was in the ICU ward of the hospital.
Police said another person is in critical condition at the hospital's ICU ward.
Three persons had died on Monday after police opened fire towards protestors who tried to disrupt CPN-UML's programme in the district. Several were injured in the firing.
Meanwhile, general life in Saptari district has been affected for second consecutive day due to the indefinite strike called by the Morcha.
Vehicles have remained off the road and educational institutes have also remained shut. Morcha cadres have gathered in major areas as Bhardaha, Kanchanpur, Rupani and Kalyanpur and enforced the strike.
