Bagmati clean-up drive enters 200th week (in photos)

Around 8,000 metric tonnes of garbage was extracted from the river.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi and CPN-UML leader Subas Nembang among other leaders as well as Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force personnel, employees of different organisations, youths and general public took part in the event today.
Addressing the event, Chief Secretary Som Lal Subedi read out a 10-point commitment letter and said the every individual should engaged be in cleaning one’s house, surroundings, offices, rivers and other public places. RSS
