A meeting of the party headquarters held on Wednesday to discuss party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s China visit made the decision to this effect.
Dahal is scheduled to leave for China on March 13 to take part in the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2017.
According to party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal, the party has decided to put the issues of demarcation on hold for now as it has not been able to garner a two-thirds majority.
The party has also decided to deploy its rank and file for the local level elections.
The government has decided to hold the local polls on May 14.
In the meeting, PM Dahal apprised the party leaders of his China visit and ongoing discussions with the Madhesi Morcha.
During his visit to China, PM Dahal is scheduled to address the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference and meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.
PM Dahal is scheduled to return home on March 29.
