Police rounded up three persons in possession of fake rhino horns from Lalitpur on Tuesday.
The suspects have been identified as Som Bahadur Singer, 25 of Phaparbari-9, Makawanpur, Anil Bahadur Lama, 18, of Dhiyal-6, Makawanpur and Shakti Ghimire, 45, of Banthali-4, Kavre, currently residing at Sano Gaun, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-14.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police nabbed Singer and Lama with a fake rhino horn from Khumaltar, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-15.
During the interrogation, the duo said that they had obtained fake rhino horn from Ghimire.
Based on their statement, police raided a rented room of Ghimire and apprehended him with fake rhino horns.
Police said that they also confiscated materials used to make fake rhino horns from Ghimire’s room.
