Dahal for speeding up implementation of deals with China

Addressing a reception at the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, PM Dahal said the two countries agreed to finalise the instruments for promoting political, social-economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
PM also said Nepal can benefit from China’s Belt and Road initiative. Appreciating the northern neighbour’s desire to see peace, stability and development in Nepal, Dahal said Kathmandu firmly believes in the one-China policy.
PM Dahal reached Beijing after addressing the Boao forum for Asia in Hainan Province, where he met Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli.
He will have a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and the vice premier in Beijing, address scholars at the Beijing Foreign Studies University and unveil the Nepali Study Centre there. He will also meet Song Tao, the minister of international department of the central committee of the Communist Party of China, address a business round-table and hold meeting with provincial leaders of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Talking to reporters after addressing the reception, the PM said the two countries were preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding on the Belt and Road initiative.
