The committee’s decision on Sunday has directed the government to identify the Nepalis living abroad who are involved in human trafficking, deport them to Nepal and take action against them as per the existing laws.
The committee also issued instructions in the name of Nepal government, Foreign Ministry and Home Ministry to initiate diplomatic measures to bring the foreign nationals under law who are involved in smuggling of Nepali personnel as per the existing laws of their home country.
The decision was taken during a meeting today after the committee’s Chairperson Prabhu Sah and his team returned to Nepal after completing a study on four golf nations.
The committee’s instruction comes at a time when the government has failed to take action against the perpetrators despite Nepali embassies identifying and recommending action against such people with the government.
The human traffickers have not yet been deported to Nepal although Nepali victims residing in Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi and UAE have given their statements against the accused.
