Energy Minister Janardan Sharma said load-shedding would not take place in the days to come under any pretext with the country now entering the ‘era of brightness’.

Addressing an interaction jointly organised in Malaysia by the Nepali Embassy in Malaysia and Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) on ‘Role of Malaysia and NRNA in Nepal’s energy sector’, Minister Sharma on Sunday said that following an end to the perennial problem of power outage this year, Nepal has witnessed a noticeable change in economic sector, including the record increment in economic growth rate in the past 25 years.

He also urged Nepali workers and industrialists in Malaysia to increase investment in energy and join ‘Nepal’s Water People’s Investment’ campaign initiated by the government in a bid to make strides in the energy sector, by utilising skills and efficiencies gained from the foreign land.
