India wants early completion of bilateral development projects in Nepal

In the meeting, Modi and President Bhandari discussed bilateral relations and the current political situation in Nepal.

During the meeting at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Minister Swaraj wished for early completion of bilateral development projects in Nepal.
According to Minister for Foreign Affairs Prakash Sharan Mahat, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed his wishes for early completion of developments projects being constructed with assistance from India.
In response, Minister Mahat, who was also present in the meeting, said that the Nepal government has been working seriously to complete the projects pronto.
On the occasion, Minister Swaraj said that Nepal-India ties are very warm, cordial, and broad-based. The bilateral trust and goodwill would make the relations broader, she added.
Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister Swaraj also inquired about the local locals elections slated for May 14 with President Bhandari.
Minister Mahat said that the Nepal government has been trying to hold the elections by bringing all the dissenting parties on board.
President Bhandari was scheduled to meet her counterpart Pranab Mukherjee at 7 pm today.
