Christian Federation condemns shooting of its member

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, FNCN said that Office Secretary Santosh Khadka was shot by unknown assailants on April 16 at around 7pm, some 100 metres away from the Manbhawan, Lalitpur-based Federation’s office, while returning to his home after participating in the Easter service.
The incident took place two days prior to the arson attack on Dhobighat church.
Likewise, the Federation has also expressed sadness over the arson attack on the Lalitpur-based Catholic Church urging the government to form a committee to conduct a fair probe and take strict action against the wrongdoers of both the incidents.
“We draw the attention of the Prime Minister, Home Minister and security agencies to secure the minimum human rights as the incident challenges the right of anyone to travel safely,” read the statement, "FNCN expresses deep sorrow for the well planned attacked towards Christian Community one after another and demand fair and free investigation of this incident to government."
As per the press statement, the bullet that hit Khadka has been removed through surgery and he is under medical supervision at Patan Hospital.
