The suspects have been identified as Jumrati Miya of Bishnupur village council-1, Itahari, currently residing at Jamuni Madhepura in Saptari and Manjur Miya of Khadak Municipaliy-1.
Police said that they have confiscated a hand-made pistol and two rounds of bullets from their possession.
A group of armed men had abducted Durga Prasad Sah, 26, of Gamhariya Prabaha VDC-6, Saptari, currently living at Dakneshwori Municipality-8 from his residence on April 17, SP Anurag Dwivedi of the District Police Office said.
Brandishing a pistol, the group had abducted Sah from his house while he was sleeping.
Based on information, a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Saptari, rescued Sah while the armed men were taking him to India.
Police said that four persons had managed to escape from their grip while two others were arrested from the scene, SSP Dwivedi informed.
