AFC U-16, U-19 Qualifiers draw: Nepal get India, Iraq, Palestine

Hosts Nepal were drawn with India, Iraq and Palestine in the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers slated for September 16-24. In the U-19 Championship Qualifiers, Nepal were pitted against Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman and hosts Kyrgyzstan in Group A of the October 31-November 8 event. The finals of both the age-group tournaments will be held in 2018 with the exact date yet to be confirmed by Asian football governing body. The draw was made after classifying AFC member associations to West and East zone. Nepal belong to West Zone.
All Nepal Football Association is preparing to host the Group ‘D’ games of the U-16 Qualifiers at the artificial turf at Anfa Academy in Satdobato. The fixtures of both events are yet to be finalised. In all, 45 teams in U-16 and 43 in U-19 Championships will vie for places in the finals. Teams in both the Qualifiers have been divided into 10 groups. Group winners and five best runners-up along with the hosts will compete the lineup for the finals.
