The meeting began hours after scheduled time after PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal went CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli's residence in Balkot to discuss Saturday's agreement reached with Madhesi Morcha.
The government has, however, decided not to register revised amendment bill at the parliament and instead amend the previous proposal within the 72 hour window to be provided by the parliament secretariat. Minister Joshi said there was no need to register another amendment proposal.
The meeting also agreed on a fast-track endorsement of revised constitution amendment proposal.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, who skipped previous Cabinet meetings over seniority row, has taken part in the meet on Sunday.
Nidhi went to the meeting after directions from his party president Sher Bahadur Deuba.
"While I have not changed my stance over seniority row, I have decided to take part in the meeting considering the interest and importance of country, Madhes and my party," Nidhi said about him taking part in the meeting.
He said he had put the row over seniority aside for now.
