Police stated the committee was formed to investigate into the matters to find out how DIG Silwal obtained the copy of the work performance evaluation sheet that he attached to a writ petition regarding the appointment of police chief that he filed at the Supreme Court, and to check its validity.
According to Spokesperson for the Nepal Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Sarbendra Khanal, after receiving the letter, DIG Silwal, accompanied by his personal lawyer senior advocate Shambhu Thapa, presented himself before the Crime Investigation Division, Police Headquarters on Monday.
After inquiry, he was dropped at his home safely in the evening same day and the SC was informed about this today, the statement added. RSS
