During a meeting held in the Capital on Wednesday, party Chairman Mahantha Thakur said that the name of the party will be Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.
Leader Brishesh Chandra Lal has already informed the EC about the new name.
“We have decided to go to the EC by reviewing the party name,” said Lal, adding,
“Now, we urge the government to create conducive environment for holding the local level elections by concluding the constitution amendment process.”
Laxman Lal Karna, among others leader, after the meeting, went to the EC and informed about the new name.
Saying that the constitution amendment process has not been concluded yet, they urged the EC to postpone the date for local level elections for some time.
