Issuing a press statement here on Friday, SSFN Chairman Yadav has taken serious exception over the deployment of Nepal Army for the polls.
Yadav has also urged the parties to hold the local polls in a single phase claiming that the result of first phase elections could influence the second.
"Since the result of first phase of polls could influence the second and divide the psychology of the society we urge for the polls in single phase by changing the polling date," Yadav said.
The party has also objected the local polls to be held by central government instead of provinces which 'violates the spirit of federal democracy'.
Deploying Nepal Army on internal matters would affect the dignity of the professional organisation and therefore SSFN demands the government to withdraw its decision so as to ensure that army's role won't be dragged into controversy.
