The committee formed by the Ministry of Health on April 23 has sought to seek legal advice and take action against the guilty.
The committee members include Dr Bholaram Shrestha of Nepal Medical Council, the committee coordinator and NMC member Prof Dr Dhundiraj Poudel and under secretary of the Ministry Bhawa Nath Khatiwada.
The hospital has been charged with refusing to treat the injured persons in the Kagbeni bus plunge in Mustang a week ago, resulting in the death of five pilgrims and 30 others injured.
The report concluded that the refusal of the hospital administration and doctors, who then were agitating putting forth various demands, to treat the injured has deprived the victims of treatment and caused agony to their family members. It also suggested action against the hospital executive director.
The report suggested scrapping the license of the hospital and the doctors accused as per article 35 of the constitution that provisions access to medical treatment for all, said Health Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa's legal advisor Raju Katuwal.
In response, the Ministry said the guilty in the incident would be booked. RSS
