Earlier in the day, speaking at a press meet organised at the party's headquarters, UML spokesperson Ishwar Pokharel said it was wrong to register such a motion all of sudden just because the government did not get a ruling in its favour.
The motion, signed by 249 lawmakers from the ruling Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre), was registered at the parliament secretariat on Sunday.
According to RSS, General Secretary Pokharel said the alliance in the upcoming local elections was based on the local needs and issues and to ensure victory.
