House meet deferred until Sunday

A motion of impeachment brought against now suspended CJ Karki was presented at the meeting of Legislature-Parliament on Friday.
The meeting put off for 1 pm commenced at around 2:15 but the opposition lawmakers left their seats and picketed the rostrum. Earlier in the day, the House meet summoned for 11 am had to be postponed following protest from opposition lawmakers.
Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar adjourned the House for Sunday. The House was scheduled to hold deliberations on the motion to impeach CJ Karki.
Differences over whether to include the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice in the agenda for discussion had resulted in the postponement of Thursday’s scheduled Parliament meeting, which was also supposed to take up constitution amendment bill for discussions.
