Jajarkot
Schools in Jajarkot have not started the new academic year due to lack of textbooks. The new academic year was supposed to begin three weeks ago.
Officials at the District Education Office said the schools could not run the classes as Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra(JSSK) has not delivered the textbooks yet.
The JSSK’s failure to deliver textbooks is not the only reason Jajarkot schools are still closed.
The upcoming local level polls have also delayed the academic year. Lok Bahadur Khatri, a parent, said that almost all teachers are busy campaigning for the elections these days and they apparently have no time to take the classes.
