At a press meet organised at Home Ministry on Saturday, Nidhi said Nepal Army and Armed Police Force helicopters will patrol the sky to provide security along the ways used by voters.
He informed 22,575 Nepal Police personnel, 17,356 APF personnel, 22,602 temporary police and 383 officials of National Investigation Department will be mobilised during the election. He also said 5,000 police personnel will be on standby to provide any further support.
During the press meet, Nidhi urged voters to cast their ballots without any fear and suspicion. "We have created a fear-free environment to cast votes," Nidhi said informing media persons about the three-tier security plan deployed by the government.
Nidhi said the government had categorised areas as normal, sensitive and highly sensitive and made security arrangements as per the category.
