Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from seven government staffers for failing to cooperate with the Election Commission (EC) in holding local level elections within 15 days.

The EC has asked Jeevan Ram Puri, Under Secretary at High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati, Kashinath Bhattarai, Under Secretary at Financial Comptroller General Office, Pralhad Pudasaini, Under Secretary at Office of President Office and Khem Prasad Upadhyaya, Under Secretary at Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development to furnish clarification.

Likewise, Shiva Ram Bhattarai, Under Secretary at Mid-Hill Highway, Rajendra Prasad Ghimire, Under Secretary at Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Rohit Kumar Dhungana, Under Secretary at Narayanhiti Palace Museum, have been asked to furnish clarification.

Issuing a statement, the EC said that they refused to take responsibility given by the EC and even didn't take appointment letter.
