The meeting of the Parliament has become uncertain after the main opposition CPN-UML warned of obstructing the House business over the government’s move to increase the number of local level units in Tarai. The party has also claimed that the government’s decision to increase the number of local level units in Tarai was against the election code of conduct.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was scheduled to tender his resignation during his address to the Legislature-Parliament meeting today.
The meeting, however, was rescheduled for two times today only.
Earlier, the meeting was scheduled for 1 pm which was postponed for 3 am today.
Later, the Parliament Secretariat postponed the meeting for 5 pm citing ‘special reason’.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli are holding a discussion to resume the House proceedings.
