Two second half goals condemned visiting Nepal to 2-0 defeat at the hands of India during an international friendly football match played at the Mumbai Football Arena in Mumbai, India on Tuesday.
Nepal that played with a man down for last 20 minute after straight red to skipper Biraj Maharjan conceded first goal in the 60th minute. Defender Sandesh Jhingan broke the deadlock during an hour mark with a semi-volley from the zone.
Eight minutes later, Nepal’s Maharjan was sent off as the last man brought down Bikash Jairu at the edge of the zone. Nepal conceded second goal in the 78th minute through Jeje Lalpekhula who tapped in Md Rafique low cross from the zone.
