A Myanmar military transport plane with more than 100 people on board went missing on Wednesday, Associated Press reported.
According to AP report, the Chinese-made Y-8 aircraft carrying 90 passengers—mostly families of military personnel and 14 crew members—was heading to Yangon from Southern Myanmar when it missing this afternoon.
The military plane lost contact after it took off from Myeik Airport.
Military personnel have started a sea and air search with the help of naval ships and military aircrafts are preparing for rescue operations.
Myeik, also known as Mergui, is a city in southeastern Myanmar on the Andaman Coast.
