This is the festival’s second iteration in the Lake City.
Speaking about the festival, coordinator of the fest Yogbahadur Acharya said, “We are organising this festival to promote professional pig farming and various pork-based food items. With the help of this festival we want to commercialise pig farming, develop proper methodology regarding pork slaughter and distribution as well as develop the overall market of pork.” He added, “We want to encourage restaurant and hotel owners to include pork as key item in their menus through this fest.”
According to the organisers, the fest will also promote the biggest pig farm in the country which is currently under construction in Lekhnath, Pokhara.
