The National Reconstruction Authority has approved Renovation and Reconstruction Guide-lines-2017 for rebuilding around 1,100 monasteries that were damaged by the earthquakes of 2015.
A meeting of the NRA Executive Committee on Friday decided to reconstruct public monasteries that are less than 100 years old.
Though the earthquakes had hit nearly 1,300 monasteries, only 1,100 of them are within the limit.
The older monasteries are looked after as provisioned by the Ancient Monument Preservation Act-2013.
