A CPN-UML candidate has been elected as chairman of Kanda Village Council Ward-5 in Bajhang district. Entire panel of the CPN-UML candidates were elected unopposed after no other contenders filed their nominations for the local level elections slated for June 28.

UML Candidate Dhanjaya Bohara, woman member Aammara Bohara, male members Dabal Bohara and Kalu Bohara have been elected. No one had filed candidacy from Dalit quota as there is no Dalit settlement in the village.

Likewise, Nepali Congress candidate Amrita BK has been elected unopposed as Dalit woman representative in Kanda Village Council Ward-4 as there was no other contender for the post.

The nomination of candidates for the upcoming local level elections was held in Province 1, 5 and 7 in the country on Sunday.
