Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has underscored the need of making the local level election successful with the participation of all as it was essential for laying the foundation of democracy.

Addressing an election assembly organised by the NC Banke district committee in Nepalgunj on Saturday, he described the local election as the first step towards implementation of the constitution. "The country should be taken ahead on the path of economic prosperity by successfully conducting the local election," he asserted.

The country wins if the NC wins, the party senior leader said, adding that it was the NC which united the mountainous, hilly and Madhes regions. The NC's victory in the election is essential for the successful implementation of the constitution, he said. RSS
