In a meeting held in the Capital on Sunday, NHRC Chairman Anup Raj Joshi urged the Secretary at the Home Ministry Lok Darshan Regmi and chiefs of security agencies to make proper security arrangements for the polls.
NHRC Chairman Joshi, during the occasion, also drew the attention of the government towards barring of NHRC monitoring team inside the election centre, lack of resting time and added hours of duty for the security personnel among other issues.
Meanwhile, Secretary Regmi said that the security agencies were aware of the Human Rights and expressed his commitment to not repeat the mistakes of the first phase local polls.
