The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MDF) has predicted generally cloudy weather in provinces 1, 3 and 7 where people are voting in the second phase of local level elections on Wednesday.

Senior Meteorologist with the MDF Sujan Subedi has said weather is likely to improve in these provinces in the afternoon in comparison to morning.

“Weather condition has slightly improved since morning,” said Subedi.

However, he said there are chances of light to moderate rain in all these provinces later in the afternoon.

“Heavy rainfall in these provinces is unlikely. However light to moderate rainfall may occur in the evening,” predicted Subedi.

MDF has predicted that possibility of light to moderate rain seems high in western Nepal where monsoon has recently entered.

Earlier this morning, places like Dhankuta and Birtanagar of province 1 received 8 mm and10mm rain respectively.
